Last full day at the Family House

Today we started to get ready to go home. :-) As my mom did the laundry, I did some digital scrapbooking. We then headed to the grocery store that we heard about from Heidi and Yvonne. They said that it was much nicer and bigger than the grocery store that we had been going to. It was 3 blocks over and one block up. And everything that they said was true. It was like a normal grocery store. Because we turned my wheelchair into Rachel yesterday we used the one here at the family house. Yesterday Heidi and Yvonne told us that the Family House had free sweat-shirts and bags that they give out. So after our walk we when to the office and asked about them.

We also asked if they could give us any info on Ali. But they couldn't. We haven't seen him for a couple days. On Monday Yvonne said that she saw him come in after his appointments. He went straight to his room saying that it was a rough day and that he was tired. I'm sad that I haven't been able to hang out with him these last couple days. He has really become one of my good friends. We have talked about what I can do to help my son in the future when he will have to be in the hospital getting surgeries done. His advice to me was, be there when he wakes up. He warned me that it was going to be hard to see my baby go through it all and I will cry. But be strong for him and always be the one that he wakes up to. I'm so grateful that he would be so willing to share with me. He is such an amazing young man. He told me that he wanted to come back and work at the Family House when he wasn't sick anymore. I think that it would be amazing if he did. He would personally know what the kids that come here are going through. He would be a great asset to this place. I hope that tomorrow I will be able to hear something about him before I leave.
After nap time we had snack time. That was about the time that  Heidi and Yvonne came home from their appointments. Sounded like their appointments went well ending with a Jamba Juice, how could it not! Im grateful to the sister from the Sunset ward that helped them get to there appointment.
It's kind of weird to think that today was the last day that my mom and I will be hanging out together all the time. I have really enjoyed the one on one time that we have had. She is so amazing and selfless. I hope that I can be more like her. I am grateful for her example. We have a little joke going that I'm the princess and the pea, and she is my servant. I tried to explain to her that being the princess and the pea wasn't bad. It means that I'm really a princess, because it's hard for me to get comfortable. She thought that it meant that I was a fussy princess. (which maybe I am)

The Servant
The Princess and ALL of my wonderful pillows!

Larry, Dorthy and their kids were heading home tonight. I'm glad that Ethan is doing so well. Larry is a Pastor in his church and he wanted to leave Heidi and I with a prayer for us and our sweet babies. The way he did it, kind of reminded me of how my church gives Priesthood blessings.(If you would like to know more of what a Priesthood blessing for my church here is a link http://www.lds.org/manual/family-guidebook/priesthood-ordinances-and-blessings?lang=eng Look under administering to the sick)
He had his wife put her hands on mine and Heidi's tummies and he touched his wife's shoulder as he prayed. He said a beautiful prayer of how he knows that God has more power than the doctors do and that he wanted God to bless us and our babies with health and our families financially. I was touched that we wanted to bless us and share his beliefs with us.

Tomorrow is going to be a great day. We will be back home with our families.

This is all of us together! I can't wait!!
